A little insight into the day of a military wife, whose husband is deployed. First thing I do when I wake up is check my phone, then check my email, to make sure I haven't missed any contact with Clint. As I start my day my phone is attached to me..ALL DAY LONG. I have a picture of Clint at my station, so while I am at work I stop and stare at his picture multiple times a day.
I think about him all day every day. I wonder what he is doing. How he is sleeping. Is he happy? Did I send him enough food? Is he eating enough? Is he cold, or hot? Is he wet, or dry? How much time left until he comes home? And on those days you are extra worried and stressed you slap on a smile and fake it through the day.
Anytime my phone rings my heart skips a beat, hoping it is him calling. Every phone call is cherished, no matter how long. And every email is saved and savored. Whenever anyone talks about him my heart starts to flutter and I can't help but smile. As the day comes to an end, I have to fall asleep with the T.V. on. I also barricade pillows around me. I can't fall asleep until I reach the point of exhaustion, usually sometime after 1 a.m. Then 90 percent of nights I wake up at least 5 times throughout the night. Only to wake up and do it all again the next day. My world revolves around my husband.
I don't want this to be taken the wrong way. I am not complaining. We signed up for this and I support Clint 110 percent. I just want to remind everyone to remember how lucky you are, and don't take those you love for granted.
My husband is my hero!

Valentines Day!
Wow I am so incredibly spoiled!! My V-Day was wonderful. Clint sent me beautiful red roses, my mom got me a super cute cupcake shirt and chocolates, and my aunt Ellen gave me a new cupcake book and shimmer body lotion for when Clint comes home. I am so incredibly blessed, and thank Heavenly Father everyday for my wonderful life. I love my husband with all of my heart!

First Anniversary

Today is our first anniversary. This has been the best year of my life. I never could have imagined being so blessed. Clint is the most amazing husband. We have done so many wonderful things together, and had so many wonderful times. People often ask me, "How do you do it." The simple answer to that is, "I just do." He is my husband, this was something he always wanted to do, so I support him, and send him packages, and let him know that he is my hero. I couldn't have married anyone else, he was made for me. So even though we have to go through this and be apart for a while, I would do it all over again. I love it when I get introduced as Clint's wife, that is one of my favorite names. This morning he was able to call me for a little while, and while we were on the phone some beautiful flowers arrived for me, it was so special. He had sent me flowers for our anniversary, along with a g/c for shoes, which we all know is the fastest way to my heart. I love my flowers, they are so beautiful. I just want to carry them around with me everywhere I go haha. I am so grateful to have been married to my best friend a year ago. He means the absolute world to me, I love him more than words would ever be able to express.

Afghan Update

We are 2 months down! For Clint for Christmas I did the 12 days of Christmas for him. Everyday's present represents something from our life together. I was so worried that the package hadn't gotten there yet..then the night of the 13th he got his package!! And the first day started on the 14th, it was a Christmas miracle haha. The villagers gave the guys a puppy. They named her Dixie, and she is so cute! Clint is doing really well, and I am a baby haha, but whatever :) Here are some picture of him over in Afghanistan.

25% Down
Sometimes it feels like the time is going by quickly, but then I look back and realize it has only been 7 weeks. But better 7 weeks than 1. Clint has been doing really great. He and his guys have build things for the kids school, given them school supplies, and made friends with the village elders. He is having a good time with his buddies. I have been doing well, just working and hanging out. We are 25 percent of the way done, yay! I sent off his Christmas package a while ago, so hopefully he will get it for Christmas. His birthday was on the 27th, so they had a birthday party for him the other day. I miss him so much, but I am so happy he is having a good time!
